Because I’m Quite Political
Sybil Crawley, third daughter to Lord Crawley, was far more the free spirit of any of the Crawleys, let alone her sisters. She loved her family dearly, but this day was no different than any other. She hadn’t known they hired a new chauffeur, something about the last one getting some sort of new start up in London. She didn’t know his name, and while she actually did pay mind to the people working in Downton, right now she was focused on her phone.
Mama made some comment about the modesty of her dress, and while it took all that was in her to not roll her eyes, she made a comment about it being the 21st century. Women were allowed to wear whatever they wanted.
It wasn’t until the following day that she even took note of him, other than the once over she clearly gave him the day before. It was a long ride without her mother and Edith. Her phone was proving less interesting. So instead she looked up from it and at her driver.
“You’re new, aren’t you?”
