It's us - You and I are always going to be okay, I have more faith in that than nearly everything. I know exactly how much you'd do for me. Don't discount this, you wanting me there is a statement, not just to them, I hear you. I hear you, I love you. The rest is detail.

I don’t think it would come to it, but I don’t want them to hate me for this either. I know what you think about it, and all of these are outdated, classist ideals they are still seeming to hold onto. And regardless of what happens, I choose you.

I just know it will be an uphill battle. We’ll have to fight for everything now. I know it’s worth it.

I don't see how anyone could hate you, ever - or be willing to be parted from you. I wouldn't wish losing you on anyone, regardless of values or class or anything else.

I don’t know if my father would go that far. But you definitely would not be welcome at Christmas dinner. So we just naturally developed from a friendship to wanting something more— leaving out the intimate details. I’m pretty sure Mama would faint if she knew I had been inside a chauffeur’s rooms.
